Mobile Food Vendor Registration

Step 1 - Obtain an approved background check (for all adult workers) from either:

Step 2 - Schedule an inspection appointment:

  •  Contact City staff at 210-658-4175;
  • Inspections can be scheduled any business day between the hours of  8:30 to 9:30am (excluding holidays);
  • Background checks are valid for two (2) years;

Step 3 - Once the inspection is passed, provide the following items to the permit office:

Step 4 - Registration:

  • Fee is $95.00/year;
  • Valid from October 1st to September 30th each year;
  • If registering after October 1st, the fee will be prorated from the date of registration until September 30th

Step 5 - Upon payment of registration you will be issued:

  •  Mobile Food Vendor Registration;
  • Food Establishment Permit sticker for your vehicle
