Spring Clean Up
The 2023 Cibolo Spring Clean Up is here! Join us over three weekends to volunteer, dispose of your household waste, and keep Cibolo clean.
2023 Basura Bash
March 18, 2023
Registration begins at 7:00 am at City Hall parking lot
Clean Up: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Help us collect trash throughout the community to keep it from entering our waterways. Long pants, long shirt sleeves, closed toed shoes and gloves are highly recommended. Trash bags and safety vest will be provided. Each person will be required to turn in a completed liability form in order to participate in the event. T-Shirts will be available the morning of Basura Bash at the registration booth. Size availability will be on a first come first serve basis.

March 24-26 and March 31-April 2
8:00 am - 5:00 pm each day
City Hall Parking lot
Please bring your ID and a current copy of the City of Cibolo Utility bill.
- Household and yard waste ONLY
- Maximum of 2 pickup truck loads or one 16' by 8' trailer
- Refrigerators, freezers, and A/C units are not permitted
- BBQ pits cannot contain hot ash
Household Hazardous Waste Collection
March 25, 2023
8:00 am - 2:00 pm
City Hall Parking Lot, 200 S. Main St.
Please bring your ID and a current copy of the City of Cibolo Utility bill.
- Items accepted (must be in 10 gallon containers or less): enamel and latex, paints in cans, aerosol dispensers, varnish and stains, paint thinners and removers, acetone, automotive and cooking oils, filters and batteries
- Limit of 4 tires per household. NOT accepted: tires on rims, commercial vehicle tires, and heavy equipment tires
- NOT accepted: mercury, explosives and ammunition, computer parts (including monitors) and box style televisions, and appliances containing Freon, pharmaceuticals, medical waste

This event is open to the public and up to 4 boxes or bags will be allowed, paper only. Please, no cardboard or binder clips.
SAFETY TIPS
How should I prepare materials for transport to the collection site?
- Bring products in their original containers. Do not mix products!
- Make sure containers are properly sealed and labeled correctly.
- If the containers leaks, pack in larger container and use absorbent, such as cat litter, to soak up leaks.
- If you do not know what it is, mark it “unknown”.
- If possible, place materials in cardboard boxes-boxes with dividers make for good packing.
- Place materials in areas away from drivers and passengers.
The City of Cibolo and Republic Services are NOT responsible for damage to vehicles or injury to citizens during the event and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for not following the rules of the event.
