I35 and FM 1103 Closures

I35

***MAJOR ROAD CLOSURE***
Beginning the evening of Wednesday, July 11, the existing FM 1103 bridge will be CLOSED in order to stage equipment in preparation for demolition and get traffic acclimated to detour routes.

The FM 1103 eastbound and westbound traffic and IH 35 Northbound and Southbound frontage traffic will NOT be allowed to access the existing bridge structure on Thursday, July 12th. FM 1103 westbound traffic headed to southbound IH 35 will be required to travel north on the frontage road to Schwab Rd to access IH 35 SB at that interchange.

Main lanes will be closed beginning at 9 PM SATURDAY night. Demolition of the bridge should be complete by late Sunday morning with cleanup and restoration to original main lane configuration by 3 pm SUNDAY afternoon.

IH 35 Northbound & Southbound (Saturday Night – July 14th thru Sunday afternoon, July 15th)
•Full Main lane closure beginning at 9:00 pm.
•The existing FM 1103 bridge will be closed.
•Exit IH 35 Northbound main lane traffic to frontage road at FM 1103 and Exit traffic southbound main lane traffic to frontage road at FM 1103.
•Northbound traffic to remain on frontage road thru FM 1103. The entrance ramp from FM 1103 to IH 35 Northbound will be open to traffic. The entrance ramp is currently closed. We will remove barrier to facilitate traffic beginning Wednesday evening (July 11th).
•Southbound traffic to enter IH 35 Southbound at entrance ramp past FM 1103.

•Once existing bridge is removed and pavement is cleaned, interstate traffic will be placed in original configuration prior to main lane closure.

The new FM 1103 portion of the bridge will be open to traffic for westbound traffic only once demolition of the old bridge is complete.
