**Update- TxDOT has delayed the activation until Tuesday, February 12, 2019.***
On Friday, February 8, 2019, E-Z-Bel Construction will be activating the new traffic control signals and removing the old ones located at FM 1103 and Cibolo Valley Drive. Beginning at 9:00am, police officers will be directing traffic as the old traffic lights are removed and the new signals are activated. The removal and activation should be completed by 4:00pm barring any delays in the process. Police will remain on scene until the new signals are functional. The road will not be closed to thru traffic, unless an emergency arises. When the new traffic control signals are first activated, they will be running on a pre-determined timer. The new signals will switch over to a RADAR based traffic detection system to adjust to traffic demands as the project continues. Due to the signal running on a timed basis, there is a potential for traffic to back up in the area at peak hours. The new detection system, once installed, will address this issue. The City of Cibolo encourages residents to plan accordingly and expect some delays in the area at high traffic times.
