Now that we have a window of drier weather forecasted for the next 4 days, the contractor is making preparations to complete all of the remaining paving for the Deer Creek Road Reconstruction Project. Paving activities are scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 15th and are scheduled to last thru Friday, May 17th. With this work, there will be times when access to Rio Vista Drive and the south section of Brush Trail Bend will be restricted due to asphalt paving activities directly in front of these side streets. These temporary full roadway closures would be expected to last approximately 20 to 30 minutes each. The remaining intersecting streets will also close as paving occurs in their respective intersections, but as these are not dead end streets, residents will be able to leave their portion of the subdevelopment using alternate routes.
We are expecting pre-paving activities to start on the eastbound lanes on Wednesday around 8:00am. Asphalt is scheduled to start arriving at approximately 9:00am. When the eastbound lane paving activities are complete, westbound traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes – following the existing traffic control plan. This will allow the contractor to pave the final layer of asphalt on the westbound lanes. We expect all lanes to be open to traffic on Friday, May 17, 2019, by 5:00pm.
