Canyon Regional Water Authority (CRWA) has been working closely with City of Cibolo staff to monitor the Lake Dunlap Dam failure. The lake levels have dropped from 45 feet to approximately 22 feet and seem to have leveled off. The City of Cibolo water supply will not be affected by the dam failure. CRWA serves several surrounding public entities with water, and the treatment facility is continuing to supply drinking water to all systems. The Lake Dunlap dam and flood gates are owned, operated, and maintained by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA). GBRA and their team of engineers are evaluating solutions for the dam and working to fix the facility. For more information about the Lake Dunlap Dam, please visit www.gbra.org.
