With Governor Abbott’s Executive Order in place for all Texas businesses, beginning 12:01 am on March 21, 2020, the City of Cibolo will be vigilant in monitoring compliance with our businesses and residents. That this declaration hereby directs restaurants with or without drive-in or drive-through services and microbreweries, micro-distilleries, or wineries may only provide take out, delivery, or drive-through services as allowed by law. This declaration hereby directs bars, lounges, taverns, private clubs, arcades, theaters and gyms shall close.
. We encourage our businesses to explore take-out or delivery options, when possible. No groups larger than ten (10) people will be allowed to congregate in public spaces. This rule includes our public meetings. The City of Cibolo will be able to hold City Council meetings via telephone conferencing and citizens can text or email in their “Citizens to be Heard” comments. For comments to be read, your name and address must be included in the message.
We will be closing our lobbies effective tomorrow (March 20, 2020) at 1:00 pm. Staff will still be working to ensure services are still being delivered. The drop box facing South Main Street can be used to relay any paperwork to the respective departments. Phone calls will still be answered and walkthroughs on digital options can be provided via phone. Emails will still be answered. We are reviewing our meeting rules and requirements to keep both our elected officials and residents safe. We will post a complete list of adjustments made to the daily operations of our City Employees so residents know what to expect. Thank you for working with us in these precautions. We will continue to work as a community to keep our residents healthy.
