Cibolo Valley Drive Construction Update

CVD Segment 2 by Walmart - Utility sewer work paid by developer 2022-08-15

D&D Contractors began mobilizing equipment on August 1st. Since that date, they have set up their laydown yard, utility locates were conducted, and a preliminary road inspection for full depth repairs was completed.

On August 15th, D&D Contractors began shifting traffic lanes to allow for utility extensions. These extensions are necessary to allow for future businesses without damaging the new road upon completion. Near Zaxby’s, the lanes have been shifted as the crews work to remove the asphalt. There will be alternating lane closures from Everyday Way to Borgfeld (segments 1 & 2). As work continues, residents will see metal plates placed over openings and are encouraged to use caution as the plates will be raised above the road’s surface.

CVD Segment 7 - looking North at Willow Way toward Old Wiederstein 2022-08-15Cibolo Valley Drive from Old Wiederstein to Springtree Cove (segment 7) will have the northbound lanes closed and traffic reduced to one lane each direction. This will allow for the excavating equipment to begin the reconstruction process. D&D Contractors will begin the road inspection to determine the depth of repairs throughout the segment.

Construction in segments 1 and 2 (Everyday Way to Borgfeld) is expected to complete by the end of August barring weather delays. Construction on segment 7 (Old Wiedersten to Springtree Cove) is expected to complete in early October. We thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the infrastructure of Cibolo.
