Starting today, Monday May 19th through Sunday June 1st, the Cibolo Police Department in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be participating in the state wide Click It or Ticket campaign. Officers will be out looking for drivers, passengers and children not using seatbelts and child safety seats. Texas law requires drivers and all passengers in a vehicle to be secured by a safety belt. Yes, that means unbuckled adult passengers in the back seat now can get tickets, too. Children younger than 8 years old must be in a child safety seat or booster seat unless they are taller than 4 feet 9 inches.
