2023 HOA Knowledge Series

The City of Cibolo, in partnership with the Community Associations Institute (CAI) San Antonio Chapter, will host a Homeowners Association Workshop on Saturday, June 24, 2023, between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Wiederstein Elementary School Cafeteria (171 W. Borgfeld Rd, Cibolo, TX 78108). CAI is the country's leading community association stakeholder group, representing 40,000 members across 60 Chapters in the U.S.

Who should attend?
HOA board members, committee members, homeowners, and interested parties are encouraged to participate in what is the first of a series of presentations aimed at providing clarity, information, and guidance regarding community association matters.  Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and network with community volunteers and citizens of the City of Cibolo.

Topics covered during the Homeowners Association Workshop include:
  • State of the Community Associations Industry & CAI Resources
  • HOA Fundamentals:
    • Governing Documents: How to read them and what they mean
    • Standard of Care, Volunteer Immunity and Insurance Coverage: What every volunteer director needs to know
    • Introduction to Contracts: Managing Vendor Contracts & RFP’s
  • Neighborhood Security and Community Safety Standards
