If approved by voters, a 1.4 acre-tract of land and a 4.2 acre-tract of land (indicated in red below), comprising 5.6 acres out of the 12.922 acres known as Niemietz Park would be authorized for sale and conveyance. The Cibolo Economic Development Corporation, a non-profit corporation created in 2007 by the citizens of Cibolo under Chapters 501-505 of the Texas Local Government Code, has interest in swapping 5.6 acres of abutting property with the 5.6 acres of the current Niemietz Park. The intent of the potential swap is to reconfigure and revitalize Niemietz Park while providing for additional economic development opportunities along FM 78. Additional exhibits will be uploaded as available.
