Mission

The Cibolo Planning Department’s Mission is to maintain the Spirit of Historic Cibolo, while guiding smart growth and development and providing amenities and enhancing the quality of life in Cibolo.

  • Comprehensive Planning - The newly adopted 2016 Master Plan (PDF) is the policy document that guides the growth and change for all future physical development of the city and defines the Vision for the City of Cibolo.
  • Comprehensive Master Plan Amendments:
    1. Ordinance 1274 - amendment to Chapter 8 implementation matrix;
  • Long Range Planning - Cibolo is committed to addressing long-term planning issues, such as the Future Land Use Map and Future Thoroughfare Plan (PDF) and our Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a rezoning for residentially used properties located within the Old Town Overlay District which are currently zoned commercial. The rezoning is specific to properties that were rezoned from residential to commercial in 2010.

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a rezone for Property ID: 69580, located on Haeckerville Road, from the current zoning of Low Density Residential (SF-2) to Medium Density Residential (SF-4).

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the property located at 146 Motts Parkway to allow Concrete Asphalt Batching Plant (Permanent) use.

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Property ID: 63567, located on Zuehl Road, to allow Vehicle Storage use.

The City of Cibolo Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas.  The purpose of the meeting is to hear public testimony regarding a variance request to reduce the rear setback within the High-Density Single-Family (SF-6) District, per Ordinance 1048, from 10 feet to 5 feet for an accessory storage shed for certain real property located at 704 Pipe Gate.

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a rezoning of the following properties: 615 N Main Street, 613 N Main Street, 611 N Main Street, 609 N Main Street, 607 N Main Street, 605 N Main Street, 603 N Main Street, and 601 N Main Street, from the current zoning of High Density Residential (SF-6) to Neighborhood Commercial (C-1).

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the property located at 4164 Lower Seguin Road to allow Manufactured Home Residential use.

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas.   The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for 0.59 acres located at FM 1103 and Rodeo Way to allow for a Restaurant, Fast Food use.

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City of Cibolo City Council will hold public hearings on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., respectively, at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main Street, Cibolo, Texas, to hear public testimony concerning a request for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow Veterinary Services for property located on the northeast corner of Green Valley Road and Green Valley Loop.

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on October 12th,2022 at 6:30 p.m. and on October 25th,2022 at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding a Conditional Use Permit for one acre, located at 607 Country Lane, currently zoned Low Density Single-Family Residential (SF2), to allow the placement of a new manufactured home.

The City of Cibolo Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on October 12, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. and on October 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., respectively, each to be conducted at Cibolo City Hall, 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas. The purpose of both meetings is to hear public testimony regarding amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cibolo, Texas Appendix A - Unified Development Code Articles 4 and 17, referencing buffer yard requirements where a non-residential use is adjacent to a residential use.
