TRANSPARENCY/OPEN GOVERNMENT
The City of Cibolo is committed to the practice of financial transparency and accountability. It is the City’s goal to continually provide financial information and data easily accessible to the public. Being fiscally responsible and accountable to our taxpayers is a top priority. We make every effort necessary to provide meaningful financial information that allows taxpayers to understand public spending and decisions to a greater extent. This approach promotes a working relationship between the City and its community in achieving the City’s goals.  

In April 2019, the Texas Comptroller awarded the City of Cibolo their initial Transparency Star in the area of Traditional Finances. The Transparency Stars Program, launched in March 2016 by the Texas State Comptroller, recognizes local government entities that provide easy online access to important financial data. In addition to Traditional Finances, a Star may be awarded in the areas of Contracts and Procurement, Economic Development, Public Pensions, and Debt Obligations.
