In partnership with the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUCISD), CPD has a School Resource Officer Unit comprised of a supervisor and four officers who provide services to seven schools in Cibolo. This unit also includes seven crossing guards that help pedestrians safely cross our streets during school hours.
Traffic and Warrant Unit
The traffic and warrant unit focuses on traffic enforcement, accident reconstruction, bailiff duties, and municipal warrant service. Please complete a Traffic Complaint Form to submit a complaint or request.
CPD Drone Program
The Cibolo Police Department prides itself in leading the field in innovation and technology. One area that is new to law enforcement is the use of unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). Currently, CPD has a fleet of eight drones with uses including aerial video/photo reconnaissance, thermal imaging for nighttime operations, large building indoor operations, public service announcements, and search and rescue in inclement weather. The CPD drone team also assists other law enforcement agencies as well as the city's Public Works and Fire Departments. Clearance for various AGLs has been provided by JBSA-Randolph. There are currently eight officers who have an FAA Certified Drone Pilot (Part 107) license.
